Ingredients
1 3/4 cups plain flour (maida)
2 tsp baking powder
a pinch of salt
2 eggs
2 tbsp powdered sugar
4 tbsp soft butter
3/4 cup milk
butter for greasing
chocolate sauce
honey
Direction
baking powder and salt in a deep bowl
and mix well. Keep aside.
2. Separate the egg whites and egg yolks in two different bowls. Keep aside.
3. Combine the flour mixture
egg yolks
sugar
butter and milk in a deep bowl and mix well using a spatula
till a thick paste has formed.
4. Beat the egg-whites using an electric beater till stiff peaks appear and no liquid is remained.
5. Add this to the flour- egg yolk mixture and fold it gently.
6. Pre-heat the waffle iron
grease it with little butter
pour a ladleful of the mixture into each waffle cavity
spread it evenly and cook till it is brown from both the sides.
7. Repeat step 6 to make 4 more waffles.
8. Serve immediately with chocolate sauce or honey.
